About Tango Mucha Labia

Tango Mucha Labia is a tango quartet formed in 2006 and based in Portland, Maine. All musicians, friends and dancers, the members of Tango Mucha Labia bring creative, fun, and intense energy to the tango scene, playing traditional to nuevo tunes. Tango Mucha Labia plays with voice, violin, bass, guitar and accordion in Maine wherever people are dancing. Favorite outdoor venues include Fridays in Congress Square, the Gazebo on the bay on summer evenings and jumping out of the back of MENSK's roaming U-Haul shows on a FirstFriday Artwalk. TML has also played at the D.C. Tango Marathon, "The Battle of the Tango Bands" in Boston, on "Radio Centre Ville" and at "Le Consulat" in Montréal, at the annual Downeast Country Dance Festival, at milongas throughout New England and at other private parties. In Portland, you can dance to their live music two times a month at the North Star Cafe milonga.
